EXCLUSIVE
COMFORT TOUR THROUGH THE KAROO
The name KAROO derives from the Hottentot
word GAROB meaning, dry, unfruitful and uninhabited. That is how the migrating
Hottentot tribes described the Karoo plains centuries ago. The Karoo comprises
the Little Karoo, with its rich, narrow, irrigated valleys shut in by
wild mountains, and the northern, sensational, desolate expanses of the
Great Karoo, formerly a swampland. With ever-changing colours of rock
and sky, and many secrets – there are more species of flora here
than in the whole of Europe – the Karoo reveals the most incredible
contrasts… |
