Join myself, Douwe Vlok, on the spectacular whale trail on the south coast of SOUTH AFRICA in the pristine DE HOOP NATURE RESERVE near CAPE AGULHAS. The fragrance of lush indigenous FYNBOS as well as the rare CAPE VULTURE and WHALES GALORE will make it an unforgettable experience. Your backpack will be taken from overnight hut to hut by a vehicle, leaving you free to carry only a daypack. This enables you to enjoy the hike more, observing the abundant plant and insect life or taking photographs. Three dates are available for groups of 11 – I lead the trail, counting as the 12th person who makes up the number of hikers allowed on the trail per day.

About your guide:
Douwe Vlok is a qualified and experienced field guide, trained in first aid. He has been guiding groups through southern Africa since 2000 and has done no less than 30 trips through Namibia, Botswana and to Victoria Falls. He will also prepare your meals. This 36-year-old guide speaks fluent Afrikaans, English and conversational Spanish.
